SENIOR ELECTROMAGNETICS ENGINEER (UK)

 

Reporting to: Head of Electronics
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Heyford Park, Bicester

The successful candidate must have extensive prior experience in the design, simulation and test of electric motors and their control systems.

 

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

        • Design, simulation and verification of axial flux electric motors
        • Develop and actively offer solutions regarding cost and quality aspects
        • Maintain and develop simulation hardware and software
        • Study, develop and verify new control strategies for axial flux electric motors
        • Be able to specify and run verification tests to compare experimental and simulations results
        • Support the Procurement department with technical specifications and supplier liaison
        • Perform all the tasks regarding the creation of the documentation
        • Contribute to the requirement capture and decomposition process from system level to component level
        • Contribute to the DFMEA, FTA, ETA design analysis process
        • Investigating failures using the FRACAS system to understand and rectify root causes
        • Be able to follow internal standards and procedures including automotive standards (such as ISO 26262) and quality related requirements
        • Participate in review sessions in the evaluation of the technical result of the team
        • Demonstrate a creative attitude, to find new solutions and investigate for novel technologies and their application

 

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

          • Minimum qualification degree level in electrical or electronic engineering
          • Deep knowledge and experience of motor design and control strategies for electric motors
          • Previous experience in software simulation and verification of electric motors and control strategies
          • Very good mathematics and control systems knowledge
          • C/C++ (other programming languages will be considered a plus)
          • Simulation using commercial software tools (e.g. Matlab & Simulink, Simplorer, Maxwell)
          • Good problem solver
          • Flexibility to adapt to different tasks
          • Experience of the automotive sector would be preferred
          • Experience of failure analysis (FMEA, DFMEA), safety standards (such as ISO 26262) and the related design solutions
          • Experience of designing for manufacture

International Procurement Coordinator

 

Reporting to: Head of Materials

Location: UK Headquarter, Upper Heyford, Bicester

We are looking for an International Procurement Coordinator to take full responsibility for both direct procurement (India) and indirect procurement (UK and India). This is a varied role that requires adaptability and excellent communication skills to build strong relationship with our suppliers both in India and in the UK whilst working very closely with our production and engineering teams.

 

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

          • Form strong B2B relationships with Suppliers for Direct Procurement in India
          • Solely responsible for Direct Procurement in India (for Production) and Indirect Procurement (UK and India)
          • Check and raise purchase orders
          • Utilise list to highlight key items that need to be purchased to remain within schedule for various projects
          • Negotiate and Achieve optimum price whilst ensuring suppliers deliver to quality standards
          • Follow up Parts Quality Assurance with our Factory in INDIA
          • Answer procurement calls from internal customers e.g. Engineering, Production, Sales, check stock levels of items needed
          • Close cooperation with SAIETTA Finance both in the UK and India (Invoicing, Tax, Duties, Export, Assets…)

 

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

          • Possess 3-5 years of experience in Procurement for Engineering parts
          • Engineering Background (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng)
          • English, Hindi or Gujarati is a must
          • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) must, VBA programming preferred
          • Understands drawings and tolerance chains
          • Superb communication with suppliers, both in UK and INDIA
          • Resourceful when researching new suppliers and alternative solutions
          • Highly Organised with all aspects of work

Facilities Administrator

 

Reporting to: CFO
Job Type: Full Time
Location: UK Headquarter, Upper Heyford, Bicester

We are looking for a Facilities Administrator to take responsibility for the smooth running of our office at Heyford Park, Upper Heyford, Bicester. The site is unique and offers a huge potential, but requires someone to maintain and develop the facility enabling our employees to focus on the demands of our growing business. There will be opportunities to take on more responsibilities and develop!

 

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

          • Answer the phone, direct calls and take messages
          • Greet guests on arrival and provide refreshments / show to meeting room
          • Receive and process incoming post. Sign for deliveries and book couriers where needed
          • Work closely with HR, Finance and other key internal contacts regarding future office development and planning (e.g. Central heating system installation, new office facilities)
          • Some basic maintenance duties as required, along with day to day caretaking duties
          • Maintain relationship with landlord, monitoring compliance with the lease, arrangements for provision of electricity, water and waste services
          • Work with procurement team regarding purchase of stationery, office goods and equipment
          • Working closely with the HR Administrator to maintain records / processes for office Health and Safety
          • Maintain inventory of non-technical office furniture and equipment
          • Maintaining kitchen services for staff, and organising monthly team meetings including ordering food, drink and other grocery items as needed
          • Management of onsite contractors such as cleaners, building works, maintenance etc.
          • Liaise with external broadband and IT providers and be the day to day contact point for any problems
          • Maintain list of software and hardware inventory, staff and company passwords, email domain manager
          • Ensuring new starters are up and running, and maintaining office IT systems and policies

 

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

          • A-level qualifications or equivalent
          • Demonstrable facilities or office administration experience
          • A ‘hands on’ approach to keeping the facility in a clean, tidy and presentable state
          • Fully literate with MS Office (particularly comfortable with Excel)
          • Highly professional in approach, responsible with financial information
          • Rigorous with high attention to detail, comfortable documenting processes
          • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English
          • Given the office location, candidates should have their own transport

          • PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICS PLANNER (UK)

             

            Reporting to: Head of Production
            Job Type: Full Time
            Location: Heyford Park, Bicester

            The role is a 75/25% split between logistics and production planning. It involves taking full responsibility for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of warehoused goods but also supporting our Production Planner with the short and medium term inventory planning of our UK and India production facilities.

             

            ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

             

            Logistics Duties

             

          • Taking delivery and goods supplies
          • Storing of goods
          • Preparation of stocks
          • Loading of stock by hand or forklift
          • Keep record of stock
          • Assisting with stock taking
          • Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy
          •  

            Production Planning

             

          • Create, maintain, review and administer manufacturing schedules and plans
          • Liaise with managers and engineers/technicians to discuss the progress of the projects and
          • address any issues that arise
          • Support the development of prototype production tools and processes together with our engineering team and test and confirm product and processes for series production in UK and INDIA
          • Purchase and implement production equipment and material handling systems for the UK and INDIA in close alignment with our technical and financial team
          • Support the creation and establishment of plant standards (ISO 9001) both in UK and INDIA
          • .

          • Continuously monitor, track and improve the factories’ material and production flows in order to detect and remove production risks (India?)
          • Support the continuous improvement of a Health & Safety system incl. people training, structural improvements, audits

 

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

          • 2+ years work experience in production/logistics
          • Experience as a warehouse operative/stock controller
          • The ability to understand and implement a ERP would be a plus
          • IT skills: MS Excel, Basic programming, CAD/Layout design – i.e. Google Sketch Up
          • Excellent communication skills
          • Pro-active, inventive, looks for continuous improvement
          • Thorough, reliable, takes personal ownership
          • Excellent spoken and written English
          • Gujarati or Hindi would be advantageous
          • Ability to work in a start-up environment (fast paced, structures and processes needing to be set up, changes to demands and quick turn arounds required)
