Product Marketing Manager (UK)

 

Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Heyford Park, Bicester

This role would suit an experienced technical product marketing manager who would like to apply their proven skills to the dynamic electric vehicle sector in a fast-expanding and ambitious company. The ideal candidate will be highly technically competent, motivated, inquisitive, able to build strong relationships, able to work autonomously and take on high levels of responsibility. The sales team works closely with the Special Projects Department to provide prototype engineering solutions for our clients.

 

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

        • Work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to define/evolve the motor/controller product/pricing strategy
        • Develop and maintain an intimate understanding of the technology underpinning our products
        • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of competitor motor/controller product actions
        • Track electric vehicle governmental legislation/incentives/penalties and market trends in key target markets
        • Clear understanding of standards (e.g. ISO) required for our motors/controllers in different markets/clients
        • Analyse new potential market sectors for our motors/controllers, identifying the relevant features and benefits
          required and developing commercial business cases (CBCs) for product development proposals
        • Analyse specific target customer requirements and put together targeted sales prospecting material
        • Develop, implement and manage the marketing on & off-line strategy/plan, focusing on on-line comms via website, social
          media, technical blogs etc and define/deliver sales prospecting tools
        • Identify and apply for Grants to offset product development costs
        • Leverage and extend our relationships with Government and Cleantech bodies to promote Saietta to potential clients and
          at events (e.g. LCV)
        • Translate technical features into clear customer benefits in terms of performance, efficiency, weight, size, cost,
          including savings through the entire electric drivetrain from using our motor/controllers
        • Work with Special Projects to define and develop demonstration vehicles/systems to secure sales
        • Part of the pitch team for large prospect sales accounts

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

        • An Electrical or Integrated Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree
        • A thorough knowledge of how entire electric drivetrains operate and integrate within vehicles
        • In-depth technical understanding of electric motors/controllers would be a significant advantage
        • Highly self-motivated to identify and deliver CBCs for product developments which quickly drive revenue
        • Fluent in English – other languages would be an advantage, especially Asian languages
        • IT literate, and financially competent – comfortable to generate CBCs
        • High level of tenacity, self-motivation and positive attitude are essential
        • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
        • Confidence/presence to represent Saietta professionally and credibly to all levels

Motor Test Engineer (UK)

 

Reporting to: Head of Electronics

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

        • Verification, validation and life test of axial flux electric motors and controllers
        • Maintain and develop test rigs, hardware and software
        • Verify new control strategies for axial flux electric motors
        • Be able to generate test methods and test against requirements, customer specifications and usage profiles
        • Be able to specify and run verification tests to compare experimental and simulations results
        • Documentation of test results and proposals for further product improvements
        • Interface with sensor, motor and motor controller suppliers
        • Test against customer specifications and usage profiles
        • Investigating failures using the FRACAS system to understand and rectify root causes
        • Be able to follow internal standards and procedures including automotive standards (such as ISO 26262) and quality related requirements
        • Participate in review sessions in the evaluation of the technical result of the team
        • Demonstrate a creative attitude, to find new solutions and investigate for novel technologies and their application

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

        • Minimum qualification degree level in electrical or electronic engineering
        • Experience of motor test and control strategies for electric motors
        • Very good mathematics and control systems knowledge
        • C/C++ (other programming languages will be considered a plus)

Manufacturing and Engineering Support Technician (UK)

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

        • To support Engineering with prototype, build and test
        • Participate in the testing of design concepts
        • Use all relevant documentation to record results
        • To agree and deliver project targets to a high standard and on time
        • Attend project review meetings to update managers on development through the project
        • Suggest and attend any training that may be required to complete projects to the highest standard
        • Participate in review sessions in the evaluation of the technical result of the project
        • Be able to follow internal standards and procedures including and quality related requirements

Senior Technical Sales Engineer (UK)

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

        • Develop and maintain an intimate understanding of the technology underpinning our and competitor products
        • Identify the relevant features and benefits for each target product sector/customer
        • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with existing customers globally
        • Develop a broad database of prospective clients in each target product sector globally
        • Research and analyse new market sectors/clients
        • Maintain precise records of all customer/prospect profiles and communications in the CRM system
        • Define requirements for sales and marketing prospecting tools which help scale the business rapidly
        • Handle all incoming sales enquiries from a variety of sources in a timely and effective manner
        • Provide customer and technical service support for distributors and direct clients
        • Communicate and represent the brand appropriately at all times

Material and Supplier Manager (India)

 

Reporting to: Head of Materials

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

        • Full responsibility of ensuring material supply from Indian Suppliers for Production in Gandhidham and/or any
          requirements for UK team
        • Supervise and guide Procurement and Quality team in India. Take daily decisions on Material
        • Procurement, Quality issues, Export/Import of material from/to India
        • Liaise with the material team in UK to understand requirements and follow up with Indian suppliers developed by UK
          teams
        • Visit suppliers in India to develop business relations with existing and new suppliers, resolve supplier issues to
          ensure in time supply of quality materials to factory and to production
        • Work together with Gandhidham Production team to understand material requirements, resolve issues, and ensure an
          adequate flow of the material for production
        •  

PROFILE/SKILLS

 

        • Possesses 6-8 years of experience in managing Procurement and Quality of Engineering parts
        • Proven Experience in Supplier Management, Procurement, Quality and Logistics aspects of Supply Chain
        • Engineering Background (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng), MBA preferred not essential
        • Good Level of English and Hindi is a must, Gujarati is a plus but not essential
        • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) must, VBA programming preferred
        • Understands Engineering drawings and tolerance chains
        • Possesses great network with suppliers in INDIA
        • Resourceful when researching new suppliers and alternative solutions
        • Highly Organised with all aspects of work
