Thermal Engineer (UK)


Reporting to: Head of Motor Engineer
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Heyford Park, Bicester

The successful candidate must have extensive prior experience in the thermal design, simulation and test of electric motors and their controllers.




        • Thermal design, simulation and verification of axial flux electric motors and controllers
        • Develop and actively offer solutions regarding cost and quality aspects
        • Maintain and develop simulation hardware and software
        • Be able to specify and run verification tests to compare experimental and simulations results
        • Support the Procurement department with technical specifications and supplier liaison
        • Perform all the tasks regarding the creation of the documentation
        • Contribute to the requirement capture and decomposition process from system level to component level
        • Contribute to the DFMEA, FTA, ETA design analysis process
        • Investigating failures using the FRACAS system to understand and rectify root causes
        • Be able to follow internal standards and procedures including automotive standards (such as ISO 26262) and quality related requirements
        • Participate in review sessions in the evaluation of the technical result of the team
        • Demonstrate a creative attitude, to find new solutions and investigate for novel technologies and their application




          • Minimum qualification degree level in a relevant engineering discipline
          • Deep knowledge and experience of motor and controller thermal design
          • Previous experience in thermal simulation and verification of electric motors and controllers
          • Experience in simulation steady state and transient conditions
          • Experience of simulating from power electronic components to full system
          • Very good mathematics and control systems knowledge
          • Simulation using commercial software tools (e.g. Icepak or Flotherm XT)

International Procurement Coordinator


Reporting to: Head of Materials

We are looking for an International Procurement Coordinator to take full responsibility for both direct procurement (India) and indirect procurement (UK and India). This is a varied role that requires adaptability and excellent communication skills to build strong relationship with our suppliers both in India and in the UK whilst working very closely with our production and engineering teams.




          • Form strong B2B relationships with Suppliers for Direct Procurement in India
          • Solely responsible for Direct Procurement in India (for Production) and Indirect Procurement (UK and India)
          • Check and raise purchase orders
          • Utilise list to highlight key items that need to be purchased to remain within schedule for various projects
          • Negotiate and Achieve optimum price whilst ensuring suppliers deliver to quality standards
          • Follow up Parts Quality Assurance with our Factory in INDIA
          • Answer procurement calls from internal customers e.g. Engineering, Production, Sales, check stock levels of items needed
          • Close cooperation with SAIETTA Finance both in the UK and India (Invoicing, Tax, Duties, Export, Assets…)




          • Possess 3-5 years of experience in Procurement for Engineering parts
          • Engineering Background (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng)
          • English, Hindi or Gujarati is a must

Quality Systems Developer


Reporting to: Project Manager

          • Supporting the Technical departments to optimise the management of Technical Administration, BoMs, Engineering release documents, procurement, material steering and stock control.
          • Able to setup PDM or PLC for SolidWorks or Catia.
          • Able to setup an MRP or ERP system, including the company’s finance and sales departments.
          • Setup and manage KPI tracking for Technical departments.
          • Responsible for the implementation and management of the Quality System





            The successful candidate would ideally have an engineering background with experience in developing and implementing systems to support all business processes. These systems would need to integrate with the current IT structure

    Product Marketing Manager (UK)


    Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer

    This role would suit an experienced technical product marketing manager who would like to apply their proven skills to the dynamic electric vehicle sector in a fast-expanding and ambitious company. The ideal candidate will be highly technically competent, motivated, inquisitive, able to build strong relationships, able to work autonomously and take on high levels of responsibility. The sales team works closely with the Special Projects Department to provide prototype engineering solutions for our clients.




          • Work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to define/evolve the motor/controller product/pricing strategy
          • Develop and maintain an intimate understanding of the technology underpinning our products
          • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of competitor motor/controller product actions
          • Track electric vehicle governmental legislation/incentives/penalties and market trends in key target markets
          • Clear understanding of standards (e.g. ISO) required for our motors/controllers in different markets/clients
          • Analyse new potential market sectors for our motors/controllers, identifying the relevant features and benefits required and developing commercial business cases (CBCs) for product development proposals
          • Analyse specific target customer requirements and put together targeted sales prospecting material
          • Develop, implement and manage the marketing on & off-line strategy/plan, focusing on on-line comms via website, social media, technical blogs etc and define/deliver sales prospecting tools
          • Identify and apply for Grants to offset product development costs
          • Leverage and extend our relationships with Government and Cleantech bodies to promote Saietta to potential clients and at events (e.g. LCV)
          • Translate technical features into clear customer benefits in terms of performance, efficiency, weight, size, cost, including savings through the entire electric drivetrain from using our motor/controllers
          • Work with Special Projects to define and develop demonstration vehicles/systems to secure sales
          • Part of the pitch team for large prospect sales accounts





          • An Electrical or Integrated Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree
          • A thorough knowledge of how entire electric drivetrains operate and integrate within vehicles
          • In-depth technical understanding of electric motors/controllers would be a significant advantage
          • Highly self-motivated to identify and deliver CBCs for product developments which quickly drive revenue
          • Fluent in English – other languages would be an advantage, especially Asian languages
          • IT literate, and financially competent – comfortable to generate CBCs

CNC Machining and Fabrication Technician (UK)


Reporting to: Head of Production and Logistics

        • To manufacture a range prototypes, and prototype build tooling
        • Programming, setting and operating a range of CNC machines
        • Experience using surface grinder, and a range of manual cutting and forming tools
        • Producing components to fine tolerances and quality standards
        • Ensuring manufactured parts are produced in the most efficient manner
        • Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet these standards
        • Help develop junior machinist





          • The ability to understand engineering drawings in terms of features, tolerances, surface finish etc. is essential
