Dutch born Wicher is a highly experienced, full vehicle automotive engineer with extensive powertrain and electronics knowledge.
His passion for automotive product development started early, working alongside his father restoring cars, the profits from which paid for his BSc University degree specialized in automotive and electronics.
Wicher started his career at Cosworth in 1998 and rapid promotion saw him lead high profile projects for Audi, Bentley and VW, fitting in racing a Lotus Super 7 privately alongside this. Working on a Cosworth project for the Dutch supercar brand Spyker resulted in Wicher being head-hunted to become Spyker CTO in 2005 and COO in 2009.
From 2011 Wicher demonstrated his entrepreneurial credentials by successfully leading a variety of high-tech businesses in the cleantech arena including start-ups in power generation.
In April 2016 Wicher became MD for a leading specialist in Classic Jaguar and Lister road and race cars for 2 race seasons.
Wicher joined Saietta in late 2017 and has turbo charged Saietta’s business forward ever since.
Over 25 years of front-line experience in a range of SMEs made Paul an obvious choice to bring on board as CFO in June 2017. He’s experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of start-ups and that’s proved invaluable in helping Saietta move forward at pace whilst avoiding the mantraps that invariably try to trip up fast growing businesses.
Paul cut his teeth in a firm of Chartered Accountants before moving to No1 Finance positions in a range of British, American and French companies across a number of sectors including an AIM listed plc. He has the rare ability to be able to think strategically whilst also being highly practical and operational.
Paul leads the HR function too where his naturally positive and calm demeanour, mixed with a thorough knowledge of employment law and best practice, helps Saietta grow in a positive, professional way.
With a long career in luxury automotive and premium brands, Graham built his reputation on delivering growth through robust commercial strategies, coupled with effective operational solutions.
Five years as Global Head of Product Marketing at Bentley in the mid-1990’s saw annual product sales grow from 1,000 to 10,000 via new product strategy.
Eight years at Aston Martin, first as Chief Marketing Officer then as Regional Director for UK and Asia Pacific, saw a similar growth pattern, with sales rocketing from 700 per annum to 7,000.
He joined Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 2008, to position and launch a new ‘Ghost’ model line aimed at the supercar consumer. Despite the global financial crash, all targets were delivered with annual sales quadrupling to 3,500 per annum and a marked step-change in brand relevance and acceptance achieved.
Since 2011, Graham consulted at board level for a number of premium brands, across multiple categories, before joining Saietta in late 2014, to drive forward commercial activities and propel the Group from agile start-up to industry
Chris is a specialist in the design and simulation of electrical machines, the mathematical modelling of dynamic systems and robust control theory. He was born in South Africa and obtained his BSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
For his undergraduate degree, he was awarded the Chancellor’s Medal as the most distinguished graduate of the year in the natural sciences.
During his time in academia, Chris authored several papers and undertook sessional lecturing and tutoring. In 2004, Chris began consulting to UK firm Linear Motion Technologies (then Texchange) where he was tasked with developing a control scheme for a linear-motor-actuated elevator, intended for the US Navy’s CVN 78 aircraft carrier. He became Technical Director in 2011 and relocated to the UK in 2013. Chris was responsible for the design, simulation and optimisation of linear synchronous machines for a diverse range of applications. This included work on the first linear motor propulsion system built by Hyperloop One in 2016. Chris joined Saietta in June 2017 and has been integral to the development of Saietta’s next generation AC motor topology.
A Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Jonathan has over 30 years of experience, leading multi-disciplined teams in the design, development, manufacture and sale of a wide range of vehicles. He has a proven ability to manage engineers and suppliers and to deliver projects against challenging cost, time and quality targets.
At Rolls-Royce, Jonathan was project lead for the Flying Spur which was heralded at the time as the finest Rolls-Royce ever. He then joined an innovative start-up called TH!NK in Norway as Chief Engineer, where he delivered the TH!NK City electric car which won ‘World Electric Car of the Year’ in Brussels. In 2006 Jonathan was recruited as
Chief Engineer at Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC) and over the next 12 years he delivered a broad range of concept vehicles for advanced modular platforms, composite niche products, hybrid drives, EV conversions as well as a fuel cell demonstrator. He was Technical lead for Tata Motors Vista EV from project initiation all the way through to project delivery. In early 2019, Jonathan joined Saietta where his experience, pragmatism and inter-personal skills drive applications engineering projects forward at pace.
Mark’s career is built on delivering solutions, from corporate project work to most recently a decade of running his own design engineering business.
